Accelerated Master’s Programs
(for current MSU Juniors and Seniors)
Want to get a jump-start on a Master’s Degree? You can earn credit for both your undergrad and graduate degrees by completing a Mixed Credit form with your advisor’s approval. To learn more and see if your program qualifies, please visit graduate.missouristate.edu/futurestudents/Accelerated.htm.
Graduate Certificate Programs
Extend your knowledge of a particular area in a shorter time than earning a full degree. Our Graduate Certificates can be earned concurrently or independent of a graduate degree program. Master’s Degree Programs
Currently we offer 52 Master’s programs (MA, MAcc, MASLA, MATL, MAT, MBA, MFA, MHA, MM, MNAS, MOT, MPA, MPH, MS, MSAS, MSEd, MSIS, MGS, MSN, MSW). Specialist Degree Programs
- Currently we offer Educational Administration (EdS), Counseling & Assessment (EdS) and Teacher Leadership (SETL).
- The Educational Administration program offers emphasis areas in Elementary Principal, Secondary Principal and Superintendent.
- Our Counseling & Assessment program is the only one in the region which meets the school psychological examiner certification requirements.
- The Teacher Leadership (SETL) is one of our newest programs offering cohort based classes to Southwest Missouri area K-12 teachers.
Doctoral Degree Programs
- We have 4 clinical doctoral degrees which are solely offered by MSU’s College of Health & Human Services (AuD, DPT, DNP and DNAP).
- We also have our new PharmD program which is in cooperation with UMKC, University of Missouri, Kansas City.
- Our other cooperative Doctoral program is in Educational Leadership (EdD) with MU, University of Missouri and tailors to working individuals in the K-12 school setting as well as higher education.

Tuition
Missouri residents = *$255.00 per credit hour
Non-Missouri residents = *$511.00 per credit hour
Internet-based instruction = *$285.00 per credit hour

Are dependent on the number of credit hours you are enrolled in each semester
Location
Missouri State is located in Springfield, the third largest city in Missouri. With a population of approximately 150,000 we offer numerous shopping, dining and entertainment venues; as well as activities for the whole family to enjoy, such as the Dickerson Park Zoo, Bass Pro Shops and the Springfield Conservation Nature Center. The Springfield-Branson National Airport (SGF) makes traveling easy to and from anywhere in the world by offering flights through Allegiant, American Eagle, Delta and United Express.
