About

A self-supporting, independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that reaches every address in the nation: 155 million residences, businesses and Post Office Boxes. We are the second largest company in America. The U.S. Postal Service provides accelerated career paths through our entry level developmental programs, such as the Operations Industrial Engineering Program and the Summer Internship Program.

The USPS’s “Operations Industrial Engineering (OIE) Program” is 2 year onboarding program, full time and offers competitive salaries and benefits.  During program OIE’s will gain experience with all areas of USPS operations. OIE’s will have opportunities to lead projects, obtain a Lean Six Sigma Belt Certification, and utilize AutoCAD, Minitab and other software while facilitating continuous improvement as the Postal Service continues its effort to make historical transformations.

The USPS’s "Summer Intern Program" is 10 weeks long, full time and offers a competitive hourly rate. During the 10 weeks of the program, individuals work on targeted projects, identified by the business unit.  These projects will provided individuals with the opportunity to gain real work experience that will be applicable towards their major, as well as their career.
