By the grit of his teeth. Baker Concrete Construction began in a small house in Oxford, Ohio, in 1968 – built by the hands of Dan Baker, with grit and the fundamental belief in doing the right thing. As a young man, Dan Baker learned the cement finisher’s trade from his grandfather, Elmer Baker.
From the beginning, Dan grounded the business in the values he learned from his grandfather: excellence, hard work, service and integrity. Values that continue to guide and inspire the company today.
A Half-century’s Experience With almost 50 years of experience, Baker has seen virtually every type of concrete project imaginable. Whether building one of the nation’s premier stadiums or a life-saving hospital, Baker’s drive and focus transcends the bottom line.
From our modest beginnings to the nation’s leading specialty concrete contractor, Baker has maintained its focus on exceptional performance and lasting relationships. We work diligently to ensure our product exceeds expectation.
Vision, Mission, Values Baker’s company culture centers on pushing the limits and excelling client satisfaction. Using responsiveness, flexibility and open communication, we create strong, lasting internal and external relationships. Baker co-workers don’t just work together; we support, protect and encourage each other as family.
Our mission is “to be the pre-eminent concrete construction company through continuous improvement and commitment to safety, people, quality service, the customer and value.” We utilize this mission throughout the company to move our work forward and spark lasting contributions to our people, our communities and the construction industry in whole.
