About

USC Chan Division

For more than 75 years, the University of Southern California has been dedicated to ensuring that people of every age and from every circumstance can live their lives to the fullest—no matter what.

USC established the first graduate programs in occupational therapy and occupational science, and is consistently ranked atop the nation’s best institutions. Our scientists have secured more than $18  million of federal grant funding for active research. Our alumni hail from 64 countries across six continents. And with over 80 full-time faculty members engaged in research, education and patient care, USC is truly a place like no other.

In 2014 we set another benchmark: thanks to an unprecedented $20 million gift securing our endowment in perpetuity, we became the USC Mrs. T.H. Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy. This landmark gift will accelerate our capacity to build upon both our knowledge base and our therapeutic interventions; it will help us foster and expand collaboration with colleagues in China, the Pacific Rim and throughout the world; and it will have a dramatic impact on the research and teaching of our scholars, on the skills of our students and practitioners and upon the health of the patients and families whom we serve.

We hope you will consider applying to one of our programs, which we believe continue to define this rewarding profession. Our Admissions Team is available to assist you throughout the application process. We invite you to join us in one of our chat rooms throughout this event to discuss your interest in any of our programs and help answer any questions that you may have. You can also request program information online, which will give you access to the program brochures.
