About

Greatness Shared
Everyone aspires to greatness. As part of California’s oldest private research university, the USC Marshall School of Business has the means to get you there.

We are excited to share that USC has appointed its first woman president of the university. Read about the selection of Carol L. Folt, 12th President of USC.

Our curriculum reinforces the basics – data analytics, finance, strategy, and marketing – while pushing you to the edge of innovation and entrepreneurial thinking. As the first business school to require travel abroad for all MBA students, you will cross borders to broaden your global prospective. Beyond the basics, you can tailor your studies to fit your personal and professional interests.  We offer nearly 100 electives, independent study, specialized certifications, and the option to take select courses from other graduate schools at USC.

And your success will be shared. Celebrating 100 years in 2020, USC Marshall is the oldest AACSB accredited business school in Southern California. We boast deep roots in the thriving global metropolis of Los Angeles.  Worldwide our Marshall base of nearly 90,000 alumni are ready to connect with you and help you reach success.

We enrolled 52% women in the MBA Full-Time class of 2020, the FIRST top 20 ranked program to reach (and exceed) gender parity. Through our partnership with the Forte Foundation, our student run Graduate Women in Business (GWIB), and our participation in events such as the annual USC Women’s Conference, and San Diego Women’s Week, women are provided the opportunity to network, find mentorship, and gain empowerment in all aspects of their lives.

The USC Marshall School of Business is at the center of the third largest metropolitan economy in the world, Los Angeles, California. Stretching from the Pacific Coast eastward to Mt. Baldy to parts of the Mojave Desert, the county contains 88 incorporated cities and many unincorporated communities.

  • A Global Gateway L.A. is the primary economic gateway to the Pacific Rim. The Los Angeles Customs District, which includes the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles, Port Hueneme and LAX, is the nation’s largest, with more than $400 billion in trade. • Hot Startup culture L.A. is on fire as a nationally important tech hub. Successful apps like Tinder and Snapchat have chosen to headquarter in “Silicon Beach” instead of Silicon Valley, and investors are following the talent. Established tech firms such as Google, Microsoft, and Amazon,  have opened campuses in  LA as well. VC firms established in LA include Upfront Ventures, 500 Startups and Greycroft Partners.
  • Biotech Beach San Diego, just down the road from Los Angeles County, is perhaps better known for biotechnology. But Los Angeles is poised to become a contender, with its leading research universities, top clinical and research hospitals, manufacturing base, massive port and venture capital presence. USC is leading the way.
