PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Conservation Practitioner-THE NATURE CONSERVANCY, Baxley, Georgia
Assisted Preserve Manager in the preservation and conservation of a 4,000-acre preserve.
▪ Utilized GPS devices and ArcGIS to map endangered species, cross sections and designated areas on large parcels.
▪ Performed burn evaluations on recently burned plots and logged data using excel.
▪ Operated large ATVs and heavy equipment for conservation practices.
▪ Performed herbicide application using hack and squirt and stem spray methods for removal of invasive species.
▪ Assisted in setting up and taking data of scattered vegetation plots within the preserve.
▪ Completed daily preserve maintenance tasks including trail and lawn maintenance, vehicle maintenance, sign production, operation of power tools, and carpentry.
