Kary Winkler, Outreach Coordinator, is a force of positive energy that is guaranteed to breathe even more life into the cool green contest called EcoCAR: The NeXt Challenge. Congratulations to Georgia Institute of Technology, one of 17 universities chosen to participate in a 3 year competition to reengineer a GM donated vehicle to become more environmentally friendly. Georgia Tech is now in the second year of the competition and is looking to get involved with Eco- Friendly Initiatives on GT's campus in a big way. One of their primary goals in the Outreach Program of EcoCAR is to promote sustainable alternatives. Kary is a bright, creative leader who is communicating the message to the community at-large in order to raise awareness to a long-standing Department of Energy program that is designed to help creative alternative solutions to transporation and climate challenges by tapping into the bright minds of top Universities that care about the environment.
